I purchased these waders in July, and as always, Amazon shipping and handling was excellent.I switched from neoprene waders to breathable waders several years ago and have never looked back. The freedom to wear several layers of clothing under them is easier to do in breathable waders than it was in neoprene waders. I was in need of a new pair, and decided to give these a try.I'm 5'11" and weigh 165 lbs and I ordered size medium. While they fit good, the legs are cut slimmer than my previous waders. I like this. overly baggy waders bother me. If you are on the fence with size, consider how many layers of clothing you anticipate wearing under them and size them appropriately. I would recommend a sizing chart be included in the item description to assist in ordering the correct size.Their construction is superb and reminds me of the quality seen in some of my higher end backpacking and mountain gear. Seams are taped, material feels sturdy yet flexible, and the fabric is reinforced in all of the necessary areas. They have two pockets, one in the front on the outside and one in front on the inside. The front pocket has a watertight zipper. Both are of ample size, and are perfect for holding keys, wallet, tackle, and other miscellaneous items. The neoprene booties are sized appropriately. The integrated gravel guards have a nice boot lace attachment and elastic cuffs to help keep out sand and rocks. The waders come with a removable wading belt and pair of DUCS suspenders.These suspenders "allow the South Fork waders to be easily adjusted from waist high or lower (when nature calls)". While all of my previously owned waders have had some sort of suspension, the DUCS suspenders included with the South Fork Wader are both innovative in design and attachment. They are what make the South Fork Wader more desirable when compared to other similarly priced waders.Unlike traditional suspenders that allow the wader to drop when unclipped, these suspenders retain their suspension when the front snaps are undone and the wader rolled down. This makes removing upper layers of clothing, without first removing the suspenders, possible. Including additional images of the suspenders in the item description would help better illustrate their usefulness.I look forward to using these waders in the surf and rivers this winter. I have initially rated them 4 stars for their design and construction.These waders are awesome. I ordered XL Stout. I'm 6 feet tall and "stout". I normally wear an XL to 2 XL for shirts. My problem with most pants in general is that the waist is right but there is little to no room for my *ss or thighs. I usually have to buy 1-2 sizes larger to accommodate the junk in the trunk, and then I wear a tightish belt to keep them on.I am a little confused by the dimensions of the waders. The chest area is massive but the thighs are restrictive. I know very few large men with a gut big enough to fill this size chest area that also have chicken legs. Even with restrictive thigh dimensions, I'm literally swimming in the chest portion. I'm sure they'll break in a little and be fine. The price was right, and I bought them for fishing, not for leisure-wear after all.What is disappointing to me is the straps. They are adjustable but not not THAT adjustable. I would have appreciated oversized shoulder straps that could be shortened rather than medium sized shoulder straps that can only be slightly lengthened.I think I'll have to order a bigger set of shoulder straps or I might end up sterile (or at least singing soprano) after a full day of fishing if you take my meaning.I am 6' tall and 200lbs. Ordered a size large as per the Chota chart. These would be a good fit for someone about 6'4" tall and 250 lbs. or more. But I will be exchanging them for a size medium.Update: Size medium seems to fit very well. The reason for the four stars us because I haven't had an opportunity to use them yet.The waders fit perfect! Super happy with them! I ordered a size small. I'm 5'6 and 150lb. Size 9 shoe usually. inseam is 30 inches. chest is 42 inches. I still had plenty of room and they fit perfect for me. I really like that you can convert to waist height or even use the bathroom without taking off!Not much to say about these waders. They fit well and don't leak. What more could you want in a waderThese are extremely well-made and the suspender design will be great in the heat. Being able to lower the waders to "half mast" in addition to not having to de-robe when nature calls will also be a bonus!The best waders that I ever wore. They fit just right and would buy again if needed. I've had the cheaper chotas that lasted for ten years. These will last just as long I'm sure.Excellent quality. Very happy with the fit and material. Used first time yesterday.
