The new apartment I found featured depressing pantry door hinges painted over multiple times that additionally were discolored by rust. Everyone entering the apartment were obliged to walk past these three doors and it looked ugly. These clean, new, very solid hinges cost me only around ten dollars and upgraded the looks of the place as well as its homeyness. I then checked out Home Depot's cabinet hardware online clearance page and found some 75% off beauties delivered to my address for free. The end result lifted my spirits, and made points with my landlord, all for a total cost of $22 - and I didn't have to change out of my pajamas.Used for an upgrade on older home.These are nice looking hinges. Finish is good, nice brushed appearance. Other reviewers had problems removing the pins but I didn't....mount hinge to wall and pop out pin with a nail set. The reason these got 3 stars is the screws that come with them. The majority are a mere 5/8" long fine thread self tapping screws and they just spin. They are awful. Some 1 1/4" screws are included, they are fine thread also but get better purchase due to the length but should have a course thread for hinge screws. There are 18 of the longer screws I think so not enough to get one in each plate on all hinges. I would consider these to be residential interior door hinges and would hesitate to use them on heavier exterior doors. I would also seek out a better option for the included screws. Good value but not ready to go out of the box.I replaced 50 yr old hinges with these. They made a huge difference to the look of the doors.Per the description the pins are removable, per my hammer and the screwdriver I nearly destroyed they are not. I had 2 people, grown men, try to smack these pins out of multiple hinges, they would not budge, we went as far as to use an ice pick, still nothing but a blunt ice pick now. Never will I buy these again, what a pain.We are using these on a remodel and were concerned they would be cheap and lightweight. No worries - these are heavy and are very nice. They look great and I'm confident they will hold up well.Only enough screws for one set or one screw per hinge In 18 packI purchased these for new hall/bedroom door installation, looks great and no complaints from my contractor.
