These towels are amazing. They are so lightweight. Easy for 8 and 10 year olds to take to the beach. Yet they dry super fast so kids have a dry towel much sooner than the typical beach towels. Seems like they absorb moisture, then shed it quickly. It was a pricey investment for beach towel but I am so glad I went for it. They will make it all the way through this summer for sure and next too. Maybe even longer. The fringe has not bunched up after washing as I feared it would.So far used at least 15 days at beach with 3 washings and still look like new. No pilling or fading.I decided to try out this style of towel and I really like them! Attractive, very absorbent (my number one measure of a towel's quality) and a great value. I'll be buying more!My family and I have used these for years. If you're like me, your first impression will be "this thing is huge and doesn't feel like it can be a towel". Don't worry. I've given these as gifts to family members and they've had the same initial reaction. I do recommend putting them through the laundry once before use, but after that you'll be surprised. If you're the type of person who likes to wrap up in a towel, these things are very generously sized. I'm convinced that after numerous washes, these hold up a lot better than your standard terry cloth towel in the same price range. The color also seems to hold up very well. Another nice thing is that they dry so quickly after use that we've never had them get remotely "funky".These towels are super absorbent and get more so with every washing. They are also better on the budget and for the environment by using less water in the washing machine and very little time in the dryer even though they are 2x the size of an average bath towel. Best of all, they are lint-free and come in many colors and would make a great giftfinally jumped on the Turkish Tower bandwagon and found this brand after a couple of different reviews so that they were great, and they are! I love the color, they are soft and getting even softer every time I wash them. I don't mind that they wrinkle, and I'm not going to waste time ironing them! I'm surprised by how absorbent they are, and I'm loving how I have so much shelf space back in my linen closet! I already bought another set in a lavender color!Bought several sets of these and love them. Quick drying and drys my long hair wonderfully as I can squeeze the water out. We have no towel bars other than for a hand towel in either bathroom in our home (weird). Our thick plush towels have no place to dry and when we use them they get musty and stinky in just a day or so because we are hanging them over doors etc to dry. The turkish towels dry fast and do not stink. I do not dry them with dryer sheets or fabric softner. My other half is not so fond of these towels he says it is too thin even if it is large enough for his 6 foot frame. My solution is to let him do his own towels. I put his towels in the dirty laundry every other day or so because they smell awful. After hanging for 8 hours his thick towels are still wet and then are used again before they have dried. When he tires of doing mountains of stinky towel laundry he may decide to actually try the Turkish Towels for real. The Turkish Towels dry in the dryer fast, do not take up a lot of space in the washer, do NOT produce huge amounts lint on your body or in the dryer vent screen, take up less space in the linen closet also and dry incredibly fast between uses. The hand towel is equally as good and dryes well between uses as well as being decorative with the tassels. I did have to re-knot some of the tassles after the first wash but not a big deal. I have long hair and I can see where the wet spots are on the towel and change spots to capture all the water. I really like these towels and I love the packaging that they come in. I did wash before use and I use vinegar in my laundry instead of fabric softner.I plan on taking these towels camping since they dry so well and roll up small even for their generous size! I plan on converting all of the towels in the house to these over time, much to the chagrin of my husband! LOL. We are not wash cloth users (prefer pouffs or scrunchies what ever they are called) so if you need a wash coth I am not sure what one would do for that.This towel set was one item in an order of several Turkish towels I ordered from this company a couple of months ago. There were some pulls in the bath towel, so I sent an email with photos attached to the company and the owner replied within a day, apologized and arranged to replace the towel set. Because I like the towels so much and because of such great customer service, when I go to purchase other Turkish towels in the future, Cacala will be the first company I consider.Both of these towels are very generously sized compared to "normal" (terry) bath and hand towels. The hand towel in this set is plenty big enough to use to wrap around my head to dry my (rather long) hair.As others have said in reviews, they do get softer and more absorbent with each wash. These two towels are thinner than the other bath towels I bought, and with less of a decorative fringe, so they are not my absolute favourite ones (although I really do like the hand towel as a hair towel so I do not regret buying them). Overall I would give them a four-star rating but because of the great customer service, I have bumped them up a star.The other towels I ordered were individual bath towels and they each had a weight listing for them. I found the ones that were around 8.8 ounces to be a bit on the thinner side (especially for someone who had only ever used regular terry bath towels and not Turkish towels), whereas ones that were closer to 10 ounces were thicker and felt a bit more luxurious. It would have been nice to have known the individual weights for the bath towel and hand towel in this set instead of just the total weight of 12.6 ounces.Great for both bathroom and travel use. I use mine daily for showers and they are so much more a absorbent than traditional cotton towels. Will definitely be travelling with these.Love these towels.
