It is a big towel and softer than any other towel I have used. I am using this for a 2 year old, but it is perfect for newborns through toddlers. Bamboo is so much softer and absorbent than the other cotton towels I have used. I put in the washer using hot water, then into the dryer. They come out clean, soft and impressive.If you are shopping for a hooded towel for baby, this one is for you! This is a high quality towel, not too thick, or too thin. Super soft and absorbant. And I found out that bamboo is hypoallergenic which is great for a baby's delicate skin. When I needed a new baby towel and saw this one I bought it, love it and will buy more. Great for baby gifts.My 3-month-old has very sensitive skin. It was suggested to me by a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner that I try using bamboo towels for my child instead of cotton because of the excellent softness and that it is naturally hypoallergenic. She was right. I bought this towel set, and I am a bamboo believer. There was no redness or skin irritation after bath time when this towel was used. When I saw this new hooded towel set on Amazon, I purchased it for my 4 month old. It is large, very cute, so soft and not at all scratchy.This is going to be a baby gift and it's adorable! We had been enjoying their washcloths since our babe was born (so soft), and in my search for a larger hooded classic and attractive looking towel, I was so pleased to see one made by the same company. It's nice a big! Our toddler loves to be bundled up in it and it does seem to do a great job drying him. Only had a couple weeks, but very pleased. I washed it once before use and appears to be in great shape. The washcloths we have are over 2 years old and are still soft and lovely, so hoping this towel will wear similarly. Happy bathing!
